My name is Joannie Leclerc. I am a 26 year old Canadian artist. I was born and raised in Laval (near Montreal), in the province of Quebec.

I have been painting on and off since I was about 14 years old and have just recently began to paint with the intention of promoting and selling my work. I have chosen to sell my art on Ebay as it is an incredible, inexpensive way for millions of people to view my paintings. It is also a way for me to introduce myself and my art to the world. 

 

Although I am relatively new and unknown my work will only grow in value as I evolve and grow as an artist. The more paintings I sell, the more value my art will gain. Who knows, someday an original Joannie Leclerc may be worth a lot of money.

To be or not to be...inspired

 

I usually paint with music on. My inspiration comes from my mood, the kind of music I am listening to, and the kinds of colours I want to work with that day. Sometimes, I do not even know what I am painting until I am already halfway through. 

 

I love vibrant colours, rich earthy tones, as well as natural and pastel shades. I also love using gold tones in my work. I have recently discovered an interest in Asian or Zen art. It is entirely possible that most of my paintings will be of that nature for a little while.

 

I try to attain a smooth finish for I am simply not a fan of overly textured art.
